DAVID GROSS Owner

Spanning more than 30 years and encompassing over 100 projects, David’s career is a testament to his extensive expertise in both residential and commercial construction. His work has established him as one of the most sought-after general contractors in the Gunnison Valley. In his first decade in construction, David developed and built over 150 affordable housing units in Philadelphia and completed multiple high-end residential projects in the city's prestigious Main Line area.

In his thirties, David moved to Crested Butte and worked as a lead project manager for renowned builder Fran Guy, formerly of Holbrook and Guy General Contractors. He went on to build ultra-custom modern homes in Dallas, Texas, with acclaimed architects from Wernerfield Architecture Design while maintaining his connectivity with the Crested Butte building community. Upon returning full-time to Crested Butte in late 2011, he secured the Secret Stash restoration project and then his engagement for the first development phase of the Club at Crested Butte’s Slopeside project and countless other projects in and around Crested Butte.

David's commitment to the community is evident in his active involvement with the Gunnison Valley Special Needs Network (GVSNN), where he serves as co-founder and vice president. He graduated with a BA in Psychology from Michigan State University, where he was a four-year starter on their Division 1 lacrosse team. A lifelong athlete, David is a six-time Ironman triathlete and a 12-time Grand Traverse participant. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking, and, both randonee endurance and downhill skiing in the Rocky Mountains. His greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with his son and daughter and their dogs
